Nocturne for Orchestra (2014)
For Orchestra

This work was originally written for solo piano in 2011 under the title "Nocturne No. 5." In the spring of 2014, I revisited the work and decided it was much better suited for orchestra. It occurred to me while completing the orchestration that it was a sort of homage to the music I listened to as a kid while I was falling asleep. So I set out to create textures and harmonic motion that are calming and dreamy, a true nocturne. 

This work is yet to be premiered.
